MealSaathi is operated by Vikram Singh Deora. This policy explains the information used by the MealSaathi iPhone app and this website. For privacy questions, contact support@getmealsaathi.com.
Information you provide
- Account and profile: email address, name, selected client or trainer role, reporting time zone, and authentication information needed to manage your account. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider.
- Meal information: meal plans, descriptions, meal and log times, skipped-meal reasons, photos you submit, and related trainer reviews and review history.
- Trainer connections: invitation codes and the client/trainer relationships created when invitations are accepted.
- Progress information: body measurements, optional notes, gym targets and confirmed check-ins, when you or your connected trainer record them.
Camera, location, and notifications
The camera is used when you choose to photograph a meal. If you enable gym features, location permission supports selecting your gym, checking whether you are nearby, and optional arrival prompts. Your saved gym coordinates are private to your account; your trainer can see confirmed check-ins, not the coordinates. The app is not designed to record a continuous travel history. Meal reminders are local notifications on your phone.
Why we use this information
We use it to provide accounts, connect clients and trainers, deliver meal plans and feedback, store and display logs and photos, produce progress summaries, support reminders and gym features, respond to support requests, and maintain the security and reliability of the service. MealSaathi does not perform automatic calorie estimation or medical diagnosis.
Who can access information
You can access your own account information. A trainer you actively connect with can access the client information needed for coaching, including meal logs, shared progress and measurements. The server restricts access according to account relationships. Ending the relationship removes the trainer’s access through the app. It cannot recall information someone previously viewed or copied outside the app.
We use Supabase for authentication, database services, and private photo storage, and Hostinger for this website and support email. The app’s current Supabase database is hosted in Mumbai, India. Provider operations and supporting services may involve processing in other locations. Authorized service operators and providers may access information where needed to operate, secure, or support the service. We may also disclose information when legally required.
Storage and security
Meal photos are stored privately and displayed using temporary authorized links. Server access rules restrict which accounts can read or modify records. The app also keeps local settings, cached content, and pending uploads on your device. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Retention and deletion
Account information is retained while needed to provide your account and its history. Ending a trainer relationship does not delete your personal history. You can permanently delete your account from Profile → Delete account. Deletion removes the account and associated records and photos from the active service. Security logs, backups, and records that must be retained for legitimate operational or legal reasons may remain for the provider’s applicable retention period. See account-deletion instructions.
Your choices
You can update supported profile information, manage trainer connections, change camera/location/notification permissions in iOS Settings, and delete your account. Contact support to ask about access, corrections, export, or other privacy rights available to you. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Website and support email
This landing page does not require an account and does not include advertising trackers or analytics scripts added by MealSaathi. The hosting provider may process standard technical information such as IP addresses and request logs for delivery and security. If you email support, we receive your address and the information you choose to include. Please avoid sending passwords, verification codes, or sensitive health details by email.
Children and updates
MealSaathi is not designed for unsupervised use by children. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate permission, contact us. We may update this policy as the service changes; the effective date above identifies the current version.
